Great Rosin
I try other rosins and always come back to this one. It doesn't powder a ton, it smells great, but it stays on the bow and grips great. My instrument sounds fantastic using this rosin.
Very Nice
I have used this rosin forever and love it! Very nice, warm sound!! Recommend it!
For cellists, not violinists
I found this rosin to be extremely sticky. I couldn't play spicatto, and I couldn't pull my sound out with a whole bow that I can with Millant Deroux Rosin. I would recommend this for cellissts.

I am a music major in college and I tried this product. I would not recommend it to anyone regardless of skill levelThis rosin creates a great deal of rosin dust and lacks clarity of sound. it created a very wispy and disconnected relationship between my bow and string. if youre looking for rosin look elsewhere (i wish I could get a refund)

I would not reccomend this rosin to anyone. It has bad sound and is far too sticky
Good!
I don't see why people are saying this rosin is sticky....i actually like it, it creates little dust and allows good grip from bow to the strings
No reason to change.
I have used Hill dark rosin for 57 years. I find no reason to change.
Used for over 20 years
Hill Dark Rosin has been my standard for over 20 years of playing early music on viola da gamba, baroque violin and modern violins. It grabs well and is very consistent and responsive.
little sticky
i thought that this rosin was a little sticky for me but i think that is partly becausse i llike in a more humid climate. but dont get me wrong i have used many rosins and i find them to be great if your cello has a slower respone but i just prefere there light rosin more. and its pretty in expensive and that always a great bonus
