This intermediate level string orchestra piece is an arrangement by Ronald Dishinger of J.S. Bach's Fugue in Dorian Mode, BWV 538. It includes three copies of each of the Violin 1 and 2 parts (each printed on one side of a two-page bifold), two copies of the Viola 1 (each printed on one side of a two-page bifold), Viola 2, and cello part (each printed on a single page), a single-page copy of the Bass part, and the bound score booklet. The complexity of the music and uniqueness of the Dorian mode makes this arrangement great for intermediate student recitals or solo and ensemble competitions. The parts can be used to easily assemble quintet, sextet, or larger chamber group. For the String Quintet version without additional copies of each part, see item 5608 166.
